A. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is a first person shooter set in the not to distant future. Here is the official description “Enemy Territory: Quake Wars pits the armies of Earth against the invading alien Strogg in the ultimate online strategic shooter. Featuring strategic team play, persistent character promotions, day and nighttime combat missions, and the universe’s most powerful weapons and vehicles, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars transports players to the front lines of an epic new war for Earth.“
Q. When will Enemy Territory: Quake Wars be released?
A. There has been no official announcement on this. All we know is that it will be sometime in 2007.
Q. When/Where does the game take place?
A. Quake Wars will take place before Quake 2 between 2060-2065. This is the first Strogg invasion. The game will be set on earth and expand through several different terrains including desert, jungle and arctic.
Q. What sets Enemy Territory: Quake Wars apart from other online first person shooters?
A. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is built with the goal of creating gameplay where teamwork makes a significant difference in whether or not you complete objectives. The game is also unique in pitting asymmetrical forces against one another - it’s no longer just a choice between two similar but differently named machine guns, the choice of whether to play Strogg or GDF is significant, the strategies are different, and the experience is different.
Q. How many players will Enemy Territory: Quake Wars support?
A. The developers have said the optimum number of players is 24 - 32 however there is no hard cap so this is left to the server admins discretion.
Q. Will there be a persistent ranking system?
A. As far as we know there will be no Ranking system similar to BF2. There will however be an experience points system similar to Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory in which you can unlock new skills during the course of your campaign.
Q. Will Enemy Territory: Quake Wars have a single player mode?
A.There is no single player planned for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.
Q. Will a playable demo be released before the game?
A. A demo will be released 3-4 weeks before the game.
Q. How will the spawn point system work?
A. Spawnpoints work like ET; you automatically spawn at the most appropriate location for the current primary objective, but you can choose to spawn at alternative locations as required.
